The Australian Fashion™ is excited to announce our first presenting partner, iconic retail property group Vicinity Centres.
Vicinity reimagines the way Australians live, work and play. From small community shopping centres to world-class destination centres like the iconic Chadstone in Melbourne and The Strand Arcade in Sydney, their centres have been serving their communities for as long as 60 years.
Being Australian owned, Vicinity Centres understands the importance of championing local business and are passionate about supporting existing and emerging designers, which speaks to the foundation of the Australian Fashion™, to showcase our homegrown designers on both the local and global stage whilst encouraging progressive ethical values that prioritise People and Planet together with Prosperity.
We spoke to Vicinity Centres about the future of Australian Fashion under the retail scope along with why they chose to support the Australian Fashion™.
Q1. What does the future of Australian Fashion retail look like?
With the changing demographics and growing population, we will see the evolution of how consumers shop continue. Some of the megatrends we are seeing, influenced by the largest generation of millennials, are around differentiation, unique experiences, sustainability and personalisation.
It’s an exciting time for Australian Fashion retail. We have so many talented Australian businesses and emerging designers.

Retail is at the core of our business, and we are proud to partner with over 7,000 retailers. We love the Australian Fashion TM’s values and are thrilled to help play a part in creating communities where people have a sense of belonging and are building a sustainable future.
